Volunteer center
One of the areas of our organization's activity is volunteering. Volunteers are people who are ready to sacrifice their own time, share their professionalism, knowledge, reputation and connections for the benefit of society, without material compensation for their work.
Almost every undertaking cannot be done without the help of volunteers – sincere, kind, proactive, responsive people. Volunteers of the “wise age” provide support to elderly people within the framework of the “Equal to equal” direction, give communication and valuable support, provide all possible assistance.
Volunteers of different ages participate in creative workshops, volunteer events, provide information by phone, help with the delivery of food packages and the organization of events/lectures. With the support of volunteers, minor repairs of household items are carried out, and assistance is provided in the local area of lonely elderly people.
Volunteers of our center gain new acquaintances and communication, support, as well as the opportunity for self-realization, feel their importance and contribution in the development of our region and Community
- Zparticipation in the center’s events, community and cultural work: assistance in organizing lectures, creative workshops;
- Zproviding consultations on various aspects of a healthy lifestyle;
- Zhousehold assistance to clients – minor repairs of plumbing, furniture, household appliances, umbrellas, irons, etc.;
- Zprovision of free initial legal advice;
- Zassisting project coordinators in providing targeted assistance;
- Zparticipation in the distribution of charitable aid;
- Zproduction of knitted goods, handicrafts, handmade cards;
- Zaccompanying elderly people with limited mobility (running errands, communicating on the phone, congratulating on holidays)

🌿 Breath of the Forest: Watercolor Master Class 🎨 This week, members of our community's senior generation once again immersed themselves in the world of watercolor painting. 💚 First, a soft green background appeared on a white sheet of paper, then the first splashes of color. Gradually, they transformed into branches and trunks, and amazing trees came to life on the paper. 🌳✨ Each participant created their own unique and special tree. And along with the paintings, smiles, a sea of emotions, and genuine pleasure from creativity appeared! 🥰🎨 You can create at any age! 💚 The "youngest" participant is almost 90 years old! 🎓 Volunteer School continues! Our young volunteers are learning to help not only with action, but also with understanding ❤️ 👵 A psychologist introduces the children to the characteristics of old age and communicating with the older generation. 🤝 Coordinators share practical experience interacting with the elderly. 💡 Teens are also mastering artificial intelligence and learning how to use it to prepare events, create scenarios, quizzes, and interesting ideas. We learn, experiment, communicate, and together we make life in our community warmer! 🌟 If you haven't joined us yet, we welcome everyone who wants to try volunteering! 🫶Our community has already launched the "Boomerang of Kindness" initiative, and older members are happy to join the "Shabbat Shalom" campaign. They bring ingredients for baking challah, sharing what they can to create warmth and joy together. 🥰 But our community includes representatives of different generations, and we invite our younger members to also be part of this good deed! 💫 🙏You can bring the ingredients needed for baking challah. Then our volunteers will take over—with their caring hands, they will turn them into fragrant, golden-brown, and delicious challahs that will become part of our Shabbat gatherings. 🍞❤️ 🫶You can volunteer and participate in baking or delivering challah. Let the "Boomerang of Kindness" fly further—from person to person, from generation to generation! Join us! Sometimes, all it takes to do a good deed is to simply share what you have. 🤝 Volunteer Center RVC #rvc
💚 "Boomerang of Kindness" works every day! Ksenia Raikhel, who can no longer use her laptop due to vision problems, decided to donate it to someone who really needs it. 💻 For the grandson of our active community member Nukhim, who is unable to work due to health reasons, the laptop has become a way to stay connected with the world. 🌍❤️ Our volunteers helped transfer the equipment to its new owner. 🤝 This is how something unnecessary for one becomes valuable help for another! 💻 Do you have unwanted equipment? Don't throw it away! Perhaps someone else in our community really needs it. 🌿 Join "Boomerang of Kindness" – sharing kindness is easier than it seems! Volunteer Center RVC #rvc
🎒The new school year is just around the corner, and for many families, it's a time of pleasant chores and anticipation of new discoveries. But for large families, preparing children for school also poses a significant financial burden. 🙏Transnistria is currently experiencing a challenging economic situation. For most families, incomes remain stagnant, salaries haven't increased in a long time, and payments often have to be received in installments. And if a family has several students, the cost of notebooks, pens, pencils, sketchbooks, paints, and other necessary supplies becomes especially significant. That's why our community is running the "Get Your Child Ready for School" campaign. Thanks to it, children from large families will receive kits with essential stationery so they can celebrate September 1st prepared and in good spirits. 🙏Many older members of our community have already responded to the call, bringing school supplies to share with those who need support now. This is a wonderful example of how the mitzvah of tzedakah translates into concrete acts of kindness and care for children. 🫶We thank everyone who has already participated in the campaign! But our help can be even greater. 🙏We encourage the community's middle-aged generation to join us. Let's support our children together and help parents of large families make preparing for school a little easier. 🫶Let every child in our community begin the new school year with a full backpack, a good mood, and the confidence that there are people around them who care. Together we can do more. After all, caring for children is our common cause! 📖📕📘🖋 Volunteer Center RVC #rvc #jdc
🫶The "Circle of Kindness" project continues, uniting members of our community with a simple but powerful idea: things that one person no longer needs can be a real find for another. 💛👉Community members bring to Hesed clothes, shoes, and other items that are in good condition but, for whatever reason, no longer fit. Volunteers sort through everything they bring, sort the items by size and purpose, and then offer them to those who might need them. 🫶Tatiana's story is a particularly striking example. She had recently lost a significant amount of weight, and most of her clothes had become too big for her. Instead of leaving the items lying around, Tatiana brought them to Hesed so that they could be used by others. And here she was able to choose items in the right size for herself. 🙏It became a true circle of mutual aid: you give away what no longer fits and find what you need yourself. Women are especially pleased with these updates. After all, despite age, life circumstances, and any difficulties, women remain women. We want to look beautiful, feel confident, and be able to choose a dress, sweater, or comfortable shoes that truly fit. 🙏"Circle of Goodness" is not just a project about things. It is an opportunity to save the family budget, carefully treat what has already been created, and help each other at the same time. It is also an opportunity to experience the joy of a small renewal and the attention of the Community. 🫶Thank you to everyone who continues to bring things and participate in the project. Thanks to you, good things are given a second life, and people have the opportunity to choose something they need and treat themselves. 💛 See also https://vox.jct.md/krug-dobra-prodolzhaetsya-veshchi-nakhodyat-novikh-khozyaev Volunteer Center RVC #rvc
🫶Hesed staff strive to make the lives of their residents not only more comfortable but also more interesting, vibrant, and fulfilling. Care is not only about helping with everyday matters but also about the opportunity to socialize, learn new things, develop their abilities, and simply enjoy every day. 👉That's why Hesed regularly hosts a variety of events—both online and offline. Almost every day, our residents can choose an activity to their liking: take part in a meeting, a lecture, a creative activity, or a master class. We invite specialists to organize these events and are happy to involve volunteers who share their knowledge, skills, and good humor. 🎨This time, participants enjoyed an unusual drawing master class. You didn't need to be a professional artist—all you needed was a desire to try something new and indulge in a little creativity. 🦋First, splashes of color appeared on the paper, which gradually, step by step, began to transform into amazing images. And so, beautiful butterflies spread their wings before the participants, flowers appeared, and an ordinary sheet of paper became a miniature work of art. It was especially gratifying to see the participants' interest in watching seemingly random color combinations transform into finished paintings. Everyone worked at their own pace, choosing shades and creating their own unique piece. 🫶And most importantly, everyone left the workshop feeling satisfied with the result and with a new experience. After all, sometimes creativity requires very little: paint, paper, good company, and someone who helps you believe in yourself. 🫶Vladimir shared his impressions and said that this workshop brought him maximum satisfaction and he was very pleased with his work. And, perhaps, these words best describe why such meetings are necessary. Creativity helps take a break from everyday worries, gives positive emotions, provides an opportunity to connect and feel the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands. 🫶At Hesed, we believe: age is no reason to stop trying new things. Sometimes, just one workshop is enough to discover a new interest, feel inspired, and see how much beauty you can create with your own hands. 🫶In August, the second meeting of the Gentlemen's Club took place—a place where men of our Jewish community can spend time for the soul, meet like-minded people, and simply have a good time. 🫶Club members play board games, recalling the rules they learned from childhood and mastering new ones. They're also already preparing for a checkers tournament—so not only friendly games but also real sports competition await! 🎲🏆 🫶But the Gentlemen's Club is not just about games. Here you can share your skills and abilities, learn from others, and feel useful. After all, every man has his own experience to share. And our gentlemen are also ready to help other members of the community. Need to strengthen or replace an outlet, tighten a cabinet door, fix something, or do other small home repairs? Don't be upset—there might be someone among the club members who can help. 🔧 ❤If you're a member of our community and want to meet like-minded people, socialize, play, share your skills, and be of service to others—we're waiting for you at the Gentlemen's Club! And remember: sometimes a good meeting just needs a reason, and a good deed just needs a pair of skilled hands. 😊 📞Join the Gentlemen's Club! 👉See also https://vox.jct.md/klub-dzhentlmenov-vstrechaemsya-obshchaemsya-pomogaem Volunteer Center RVC #rvc #JDC
The boomerang of kindness is flying through our community! 💚 It seems like the "Boomerang of Kindness" is picking up speed and getting more and more people involved in good deeds. One shares their harvest, another brings it to the community, a third helps process it—and the kindness returns to us in the form of new encounters, smiles, and care. Some bring surpluses from their gardens and vegetable plots to share with those who don't have the opportunity to grow their own vegetables and fruits. And someone brings their harvest to the community—and that's when our volunteers step in. 🍎🌿 This time there were plenty of apples—but as we know, you can never have too many apples! 😄 They were peeled, sliced, and dried to preserve the flavor and nutritional value of the summer harvest. We also dried tomatoes and canned them using a new recipe. 🍅 And all this happened in a big, friendly group, where the work is much more fun! You can work together, joke, drink tea, talk, and just see each other. And today, this is especially important for our clients: after the Day Center closed, many are missing the usual social interactions, meetings, and the opportunity to spend time with friends. That's why our preparations aren't just about food. They're also about communication, support, participation, and the feeling of being needed. ❤️ We're looking forward to the fruits of your gardens—and your hands, your time, your energy! It doesn't matter how much you can bring or how much time you're willing to give. What matters is the desire to be part of a common good cause. 🍎 If you've got a harvest, share it! 🤲 If you have free time, come help! 😊 If you're eager to socialize, you're welcome here! Come! Together, we transform harvests into care, time into good deeds, and ordinary meetings into genuine support. May the "Boomerang of Kindness" fly far and involve more and more people! 💚 See also the link https://vox.jct.md/bumerang-dobra-letit-po-nashey-obshchine Volunteer Center RVC #JDC #RVC

🤝 Connecting generations begins with good deeds! Hesed held the first meetings of the "Connecting Generations: Volunteering, Caring, Traditions" project—two meetings each for teenagers and older generations. Participants learned about the work of our volunteer center, learned about the projects and volunteers, and then, together with a psychologist, explored what it means to be a true volunteer: how to help, listen, support, respect personal boundaries, and be there for others. ❤️ It's especially gratifying that many participants are already doing good deeds—they just hadn't called themselves volunteers before! 🌱 "Volunteer School" is ongoing and welcomes new participants! 🧸✨ Our community hosted a warm and cozy workshop where older women learned how to create a charming teddy bear from an ordinary towel—one of the most original ways to gift wrap. 🎁 With great care, the participants rolled the towels step by step, turning them into the head, ears, arms, and legs of the future bear. And very soon, each of them was holding a cute little teddy bear, made with their own hands. 🧸💛 The creative process was so captivating that everyone wondered who to give such an unusual gift to. After all, a gift made with love always brings special joy. 🥰 Thank you to all the participants for the wonderful atmosphere, smiles, and inspiration! 🍎 More fruit—more vitamins and care! Our "Vitamins from the Garden" project continues to grow! Thanks to a grant from Food Security, we purchased two more dehydrators—now we can dry three times as much fruit at a time! 🌿 But the project wouldn't be possible without those who share the harvest from their gardens. If you have surplus apples, pears, plums, berries, or other fruit—please share with us! 🍐🍑 And our volunteers know what to do with them: wash, peel, slice, dry—and turn these generous summer gifts into healthy dried fruit for our community members. 💚 Today, we worked on a whole bucket of apples! 🍏 And also—polyester padding, pillows, tea, and heartfelt conversations. What a productive volunteer day: a good deed accomplished, and time spent together productively! ☕️❤️ 🌱 Share your harvest – we'll turn it into vitamins and care! Summer generously gifts us with fruits, vegetables, and berries. And some have more harvest than their families can eat. This is when it's especially important to remember: goodness can be shared—and it only grows! 💚 Our Hesed continues its "Boomerang of Kindness" campaign. Those with surplus produce from their gardens can share it with those who need support now. 🍑 We will gratefully accept fruits and berries and pass them on to those in need. 🥒 Vegetables will also be received. 🍏 We can dry some of the harvested fruit in our dryers to preserve a piece of summer warmth and care. A huge thank you to everyone who has already joined the campaign and shared not only their harvest but also their warmth, attention, and care for others. ❤️ We also believe that good deeds can and should be shared! After all, one person's story can inspire another to take a step forward. 🌿 Shared your harvest? Helped a neighbor? Did a good deed? This week, our volunteers gathered again to bake challah for members of the Jewish community in Rybnitsa and Tiraspol. Behind each challah lies not only flour, dough, and the aroma of freshly baked goods, but also the desire to give a person attention, care, and a feeling of being remembered. For many of our elderly residents, challah for Shabbat is more than just a treat for the holiday table 🥖. It's a sign that they remain part of the community, that there are people nearby who care about their well-being and spirits. This is especially valuable for those who live alone or whose children and grandchildren are far away. But for the challah to actually reach the hands of its intended recipients, we need people. And now we especially need volunteers. 🚗 We need helpers who are ready to: 📍 deliver challah to other cities in Transnistria; 📍 help distribute challah throughout Tiraspol; 📍 Visit an elderly person, give them challah, and just chat for a bit. Sometimes a good deed doesn't take much time. Just 30 minutes can be the warmest moment of a lonely person's day. Bringing challah, asking how they're doing, listening to a few stories, wishing them a good Shabbat—it seems like very little. But it's these small gestures that truly express care. 💙 And it doesn't matter how old you are. We have no age limit for good deeds. All that matters is the desire to help. 🤝 If you're ready to give a little of your time, join our volunteer team. Perhaps your help will allow us to deliver challah to someone who is eager not only for freshly baked goods but also for simple human attention. 🥖 Challah is the bread of Shabbat. And the care we convey with it is the warmth of the community. Join us. Together we can do a little more good. ✨ 📞 77521135 Anna 👉See also the link https://vox.jct.md/inogda-30-minut-eto-tseliy-mir-tepla Volunteer Center RVC #RVC
🫶Our volunteers at Hesed have gathered again to do their favorite thing. Now they are stuffing soft pillows for those in our care. It seems simple, but first you need to sort through the synthetic padding, clean out any excess pieces, shred it—and only then fill each pillow with it. Leisurely conversations make the work more fun, and your hands get excellent fine motor skills training. 🙌 Want to spend time productively, socialize, and do good deeds? Join the "Rukodelynitsy"! ❤️ Tu B'Av—a holiday of love and joy! This week, representatives of the older generation of the Transnistrian Jewish community celebrated this special day online. 🌸 📖 They reminisced about the history and traditions of Tu B'Av, watched a vibrant presentation and thematic videos, and concluded the meeting with a documentary about Batya Barg and her family. 🎬 It was a film about love—love for family, life, tradition, and memory. Batya's story, which endured terrible losses but retained her light, spiritual strength, and ability to enjoy life, deeply touched all participants. 💬 "Today's broadcast was incredibly wonderful," shared Yakov Galperin. ✨ Such meetings remind us: love is care, memory, support, and the ability to maintain joy even in the face of adversity. Tu B'Av sameach! ❤️ May every home be filled with more love, warmth, and joy! 👉For more information about the event, see https://vox.jct.md/literaturnaya-gostinaya-poeziya-sogrevayushchaya-dushu Volunteer Center RVC #RVC
📚✨ The "Literary Salon" once again brought together poetry lovers! Today, our monthly online meeting took place, featuring Transnistrian poet Konstantin Anatolyevich Zhosan. 🌿 His poems about his homeland, the nature of his native land, human destinies, and eternal values brought a wealth of vivid emotions to the participants. Particularly touching were the heartfelt works "Lost Happiness" and "Three Mothers," which express love for the homeland, gratitude to the mother who gave life, and respect for the mother of one's children, while raising sensitive topics. 🍃 The poet has a surprisingly subtle ability to see beauty in the world around him: the fragrant coolness, the freshness of acacias, the elegantly decorated birches, golden sunrises, and blooming roses came to life in his lines, filling the meeting with a special atmosphere of warmth and inspiration. 💙 We thank Konstantin Anatolyevich for his sincerity, warmth, and talent, and all the participants for their interest, kind comments, and love of poetry, and our volunteer Valery Kupershmidt for being our guest today. 🌸 See you again in our "Literary Living Room"! 👉For more information, see https://vox.jct.md/literaturnaya-gostinaya-poeziya-sogrevayushchaya-dushu Volunteer Center RVC #RVC
🎨🌿 A new meeting of watercolor painting master classes! 🔄 "Boomerang of Kindness" is already live! At the beginning of the month, our community launched a new project that unites people around good deeds. ❤️ 🥒 Thanks to a farmer from Bender, Hesed received 25 kg of fresh cucumbers. Our staff decided to volunteer and got to work together: they washed, canned, and now we have a supply of homemade pickles for holiday meals. 🍐 We've also started preparing dried fruit—the first 5 kg of pears have already been sliced and are drying in our dehydrator! 🤝 But the most important thing in this project is the people. We're really looking forward to middle-aged people, teenagers, and children joining "Boomerang of Kindness." If you have some free time and a desire to make a difference, we'd love to have you on our team! Together, we can do so much more than we can alone.
