One of the areas of our organization's activity is volunteering. Volunteers are people who are ready to sacrifice their own time, share their professionalism, knowledge, reputation and connections for the benefit of society, without material compensation for their work.
Almost every undertaking cannot be done without the help of volunteers – sincere, kind, proactive, responsive people. Volunteers of the “wise age” provide support to elderly people within the framework of the “Equal to equal” direction, give communication and valuable support, provide all possible assistance.
Volunteers of different ages participate in creative workshops, volunteer events, provide information by phone, help with the delivery of food packages and the organization of events/lectures. With the support of volunteers, minor repairs of household items are carried out, and assistance is provided in the local area of lonely elderly people.
Volunteers of our center gain new acquaintances and communication, support, as well as the opportunity for self-realization, feel their importance and contribution in the development of our region and Community

- Zhousehold assistance to clients – minor repairs of plumbing, furniture, household appliances, umbrellas, irons, etc.;

- Zassisting project coordinators in providing targeted assistance;
- Zparticipation in the distribution of charitable aid;
- Zproduction of knitted goods, handicrafts, handmade cards;
- Zaccompanying elderly people with limited mobility (running errands, communicating on the phone, congratulating on holidays)

Today we held another exciting online event from the "Art in Detail" section, where our participants immersed themselves in the world of Rembrandt, an outstanding Dutch artist and the largest representative of the Golden Age of Dutch painting. Everyone carefully examined his famous painting "The Return of the Prodigal Son", which vividly illustrates the entire spectrum of human experiences with incredible emotional intensity. During the discussion, we compared this work with other paintings touching on similar themes, which allowed us to better understand the uniqueness and mastery of Rembrandt. We would like to express special gratitude to our volunteer at Volunteer Center RVC Tatyana from Bender, thanks to whom these meetings became possible. 🫶Today, in a cozy atmosphere filled with warmth and joy, we gathered as part of the @rvc.center project "Crazy Hands" for a decoupage master class. Ordinary bottles and containers, which once seemed unremarkable, turned into real masterpieces under the hands of our talented craftswomen. 🎨With every movement of the brush, with every application of a bright napkin, not just decor was created, but small works of art that will please the eye and warm the soul. Laughter, jokes and inspiring conversations sounded around - the atmosphere was so friendly that time flew by. ☕Tea drinking complemented this magical process, creating a feeling of coziness and tranquility. 🌟 Today, another online event from the "Art in Detail" series took place, and it became another feast for the soul for our participants! 🎨 Our researchers enthusiastically immersed themselves in the world of René Magritte's work, getting acquainted with his unique style and philosophy of surrealism. Participants discussed how his works make us rethink reality and perceive the world from a new angle. 🫶In addition, special attention was paid to Vasily Pukirev's painting "Unequal Marriage". This work sparked a lively discussion and allowed participants to better understand the social and cultural contexts reflected in the art of that time. 🫶Such meetings, organized by our Volunteer Center RVC, not only enrich knowledge, but also create an atmosphere of unity and inspiration. 🌟 For the older generation of our Community, attention and care are a priceless gift, and that is why we try to create a warm atmosphere and give joy. Our young volunteers, under the guidance of the wonderful Tatyana from Bender, prepared touching drawings and postcards that are dedicated to various holidays - both religious and secular. February 23 is Defender of the Fatherland Day, which has a special meaning for our wards. The men's eyes shone with joy from the attention and care they received. These moments of sincere joy and communication became a real holiday for everyone. We are sure that such meetings strengthen our ties and fill our hearts with warmth. ❄️After the January cold and a long wait, when our meetings were suspended due to the lack of heating, we are happy to resume meetings of needlewomen! In February, two meetings have already taken place, and the participants can't wait for the next one. As usual, on Mondays, we invite everyone to join us. 🪡At our meetings, the participants happily sort out synthetic padding, and the volunteers of the Volunteer Center RVC sew seat cushions, which are in great demand among our customers. The work is in full swing, and the atmosphere of creativity fills the room. Everyone has a lot of news to share, and each meeting becomes not only a work process, but also an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas. ☕Tea drinking and pleasant conversations are an integral part of our meetings. 🍇🌳Today we celebrated Tu B'Shvat, and the events dedicated to this holiday were a great success. Volunteers organized an online event for the participants of the Caring Connection project, where they recalled the traditions of the holiday, told a wonderful legend and held an exciting quiz. Participants were also able to enjoy thematic parables, which added depth and meaning to the communication. 🥳🫶Visitors of the Day Center did not stay away either. Volunteer Center RVC volunteers together with the club worker organized an interesting event where they recalled the traditions of Tu B'Shvat. Participants wrote their wishes on the Wishing Tree 🌳 and created a collective topiary🪴, which contributed to an atmosphere of creativity and unity. Senior citizens happily took part in the activities, sharing their thoughts and impressions, drawing spiritual parallels between a person and a tree. 🍇🔥🫶At the end of the celebration, a table with traditional fruits was laid, which made the day especially memorable. 🫶Today, the first online event for representatives of the golden age of our Community "Art in Details" took place, and it became a real holiday for the soul! 🎨Our wonderful volunteer of the Volunteer Center RVC Tatyana with genuine enthusiasm immersed all the participants in the amazing world of art. She taught not just to look at paintings, but to see them, to understand the artist's idea and to look closely at the details that often escape the eye. 🎨Today, those present at the event discovered the work of great masters - Michelangelo, Velazquez, Vermeer - and saw their works from a completely new angle. Every stroke, every detail and light accent became alive, filled with meaning. Emotions overwhelmed, and hearts fluttered with excitement! The participants felt like real researchers revealing the secrets of art. 🔥This is just the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of art! Our region hosted significant events dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. A requiem meeting was held at the monument to the victims of the Holocaust, which brought together concerned citizens, members of the Jewish community, Hillel Kishinev/Hillel Kishinev and representatives of various public organizations. The Chief Rabbi of Moldova Pinchas Salzman Agudat Israel MD read a prayer. The message that ran through all the speeches was the same: "This should not happen again on planet Earth." This is a reminder of how important it is to remember the tragic events of the past to prevent them from happening again in the future. After the meeting, a tour of the tragic places of Tiraspol was held as part of the "Uniting Generations" project. The participants visited the Jewish cemetery, where the victims of the Holocaust are buried. These places remind us of the people whose lives were cruelly cut short and of those who survived this terrible period. An event was held at Hesed, where Pinchas Zaltzman הרב פנחס זלצמן Rabbi Pinchas Zaltzman lit candles, told several tragic stories from the Holocaust period, and expressed words of support to those present. Students and teachers of the Institute of Arts performed a concert program. The day before, an online conference was held, organized by the Rybnitsa Museum of Military Glory, the Hesed Jewish Center, and the Rybnitsa Jewish Community. People of different ages took part in the conference - Hesed clients, members of the Jewish communities of Transnistria, schoolchildren, and teachers. Director of the Rybnitsa Museum of Military Glory, historian, and teacher Alexander Semenovich Stetsky gave a presentation on the history of the Holocaust in Rybnitsa and the region. The topic did not leave listeners and viewers indifferent; after that, a discussion unfolded on the causes of the genocide of the Jewish people and other important issues. Also today, we held the #MЫПОМНИМ campaign among Hesed employees and clients to emphasize our shared responsibility to preserve the memory of the tragedies of the past. These events were an important step towards strengthening mutual understanding and respect between generations, and to never forget the lessons of history. #JDC #HesedTiraspol #RVC
🌐In our region, many elderly people face serious financial difficulties. Being retired, they often cannot afford the necessary minor repairs in their homes or updating furniture. For many of them, unfortunately, there is no support from family and friends, and this is why Hesed and volunteers become the only hope for a more comfortable aging. 🛠It was in this context that the "School of Repair" project was born, which in a short time managed to win the hearts of our participants. In three months of its work, it has become not just an initiative for repairs, but a real platform for exchanging warmth and care between generations. 🪑🚪The "School of Repair" project gives our elderly clients the opportunity to save on minor repairs, which are often necessary to maintain a comfortable life. AJT teenagers, learning the basics of repair and restoration, help the elderly transform their old furniture into new interior items. This process is not only beneficial, but also brings genuine moments of joy and satisfaction to both the elderly participants and the young volunteers. 🛠AJT teenagers participating in the project not only develop useful professional skills, but also learn to appreciate the work and efforts of others. Working with the elderly, they understand the importance of mutual assistance and support. Every time they help transform old furniture or do minor repairs, they give the warmth of their hands and hearts, creating strong ties between generations. 🫶Despite the fact that the "Repair School" project has existed for only three months, it has already become a favorite of all participants. The elderly are looking forward to new meetings with the youth, and the teenagers are proud that they can contribute to improving the lives of their Community members. This project has become not only an opportunity for repairs, but also a source of inspiration and hope for all participants. 🔥With the positive feedback and desire to continue this initiative, we are confident that the "School of Repair" has every chance of further development. 🌟 🌟As part of the "Connecting Generations: Jewish Travel" grant, we visited the amazing city of Balti today. Our day began with a warm welcome at the Hesed Yaakov center, where we learned about the significance of this place for the local Jewish community and how it was created. ☕The meal at Hesed Yaakov was a great start to our journey. At the table, we exchanged stories and got to know each other, creating a warm atmosphere of friendship and unity. 🇮🇱Then we went on a walking tour of the city's significant places. Each building, each street held a piece of history, and we enjoyed taking memorable photos against the backdrop of these beautiful places. 👏👏👏We especially remember the life stories of our fellow tribesman Mikhail, who shared his memories and impressions of life in this unique city. 🫶Today's event was not only an opportunity to learn more about Jewish culture, but also a great example of how important it is to unite generations and share experiences. 🫶We are all actively preparing for Hanukkah, organizing a series of exciting events aimed at uniting and supporting our Community. 💥This week, a creative workshop was held for the older generation by Volunteer Center RVC. Participants happily reminisced about Hanukkah traditions, shared their favorite donut recipes, and decorated sufganiyot prepared by volunteers together. This is not only a way to celebrate the holiday, but also an opportunity to communicate and create a warm atmosphere. 🫶As part of the "From Heart to Heart" project, our younger volunteers prepared colorful cards and drawings dedicated to Hanukkah and the New Year. For older people, such gifts are especially important - they accept them with pleasure and enjoy the attention. 😍 The Day Center held holiday quizzes, participants sang Hanukkah songs, danced, and shared heartfelt conversations over a cup of tea. 👍Also on Saturday, the synagogue will host an event dedicated to Hanukkah, volunteers will set the table for a meal and hand out cards created by children to add joy to this bright holiday. 🥳🕎And ahead of us all, there will be a Community Event, which will be the culmination of our efforts and an opportunity for all members of the community to come together to celebrate Hanukkah in the spirit of unity and mutual assistance. 🕎Happy Hanukkah! 🌍💔 In our difficult times, the issue of gas, heating and electricity has become especially acute for our citizens. At all meetings - both online and offline - we hear the anxious voices of elderly people who express their concerns about the current situation. Their fears and worries are understandable, because stability and comfort in the home is what they deserve after many years of work. Hesed employees and volunteers of the Volunteer Center RVC do everything possible to support our elderly. We try to calm them down, instill confidence in the future and distract them from worries. Each of us understands how important it is to feel safe and protected, especially in such difficult times. The Volunteens "School of Repair" project allows us to help our clients improve the condition of their homes. Minor furniture repairs carried out by our volunteers and AJT teenagers are the least that volunteers can do with teenagers, for example, their skillful hands turn chairs that are over 40 years old into new pieces of furniture. We continue to work to provide our clients with everything they need and make their lives a little easier. Let's remember that caring for the older generation is our shared responsibility. 🌟 The 10th anniversary of the Volunteer of the Year Award is a holiday that unites! 🌟 🎉On December 8, 2024, we celebrated a significant date - the 10th anniversary of the Volunteer of the Year Award, dedicated to the International Volunteer Day. This evening became not just a solemn event for our volunteers, but a real celebration of life and solidarity! 👍💥Opening the event, KEDEM Program Director, Founder and CEO of the Republican Volunteer Center RVC Nicolai Railean gave an inspiring speech. His words reminded us of the importance of volunteering and how each of us can contribute to the common cause. 💥An atmosphere of pride and joy reigned on the stage as our volunteers received well-deserved awards and diplomas. Each of them is a story of dedication and kindness, the personification of the values that we all value so highly.
